Dave McGillivray, Race Director of the world renowned Boston Marathon and President of Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises, Inc. had such a vision. As a resident of Abacoa, Dave wanted to help out his community by focusing his considerable talents on developing a race that would be a source of community pride and involvement.
